Zdar and Boom Bass started working together in 1988 in Paris and they only released their first single "Cassius 1999" in January 1999 which became a mainstream hit. It entered directly the UK Top 40 chart at number seven. Their debut album, 1999, which had two more singles in it, "Feeling For You" and "La Mouche" had a great impact on the public and Cassius is considered as pioneers of the French Touch nowadays.
